The Zoo and Bronchitis

Our last trip to the zoo since our membership has expired. Jocelyn and Ezra were playing so well together and it was so cute!

Ezra sometimes decides to crawl on his hands and knees and I was lucky enough to catch some of it before he went down to his belly for an army crawl.

I'm pretty sure this stroller with a car seat in it wasn't made for two kids, but they made the best of their situation so they wouldn't have to walk or be held. Hehe! It was awesome!

Jocelyn was wheezing for 18 hours so I decided to take her to urgent care. She was really scared to wear a mask to get albuterol, but she was pretty tough and liked looking like Darth Vader. After a little bit, she got used to wearing the mask and just played around. I was impressed. She had to get two treatments of it and then we found out she has bronchitis! Yuck. She is now on antibiotics and should get well soon.

Watching her be so scared and then returning to normal and playing made me think about the situations I am in where I choose not to be happy, but I am so glad I have an example of such happiness to learn from. She is always so positive!

Mexistaches, Zombie Walk and Darth Vader

We had to start the summer properly with a trip to the pool. I made Jocelyn a little towel wrap dress since the pool towels are always too big for her. She practice blowing bubbles, both in the pool and with a wand.

Our ward has an annual Fajita Party to celebrate Cinco de Mayo and it just wouldn't have been the same without our Mexistaches! They are awesome!

Zombie Walk! I heard there was a Zombie Walk and I knew what Jimmy and I would be doing for our anniversary! We had brains for dinner....mmmm! Jimmy dressed up as a zombie and luckily Jocelyn wasn't scared of him!

Since you weren't there to witness the Zombie Walk, this is the closest reenactment I could get of Jimmy being a Zombie. He was pretty good!

Some people were so into it! It made us look like amateurs! This group had a whole team to take down one zombie. The zombie was so into it, she seemed like a real zombie!

For our 5th anniversary, Jimmy and I thought we would celebrate in style at a really cool restaurant (way too expensive), but the view was amazing. We could see the whole valley from our table and we ate outside. It was perfect weather!

Like always, we made it to the zoo! We love that place, especially now that the splash area is open! It is a perfect place to stay while the weather is scorching!

Jocelyn is now at the stage where she can pick out her own outfits! She put leggings under her romper. It was too cute!

We made a special trip to a consignment store and Jocelyn found one of the best toys! She knew exactly what to do! She even said "Hoo-per" since she told me that is what Darth Vader says.

Family Love

These kids are so cute! Jocelyn walked over to Ezra, so I took out the camera and sneaked a video. If Jocelyn knew I had the camera out, she would have stopped immediately, so I am kind of thinking of myself as a sneaky fox.

This is our latest happenings.

Mylee and Ester were able to visit for a few hours while Dave and Steph went to the temple. It was great! We loved that they were able to visit. Jocelyn can never get enough of her cousins.

Jocelyn and Jimmy are so alike. I loved their little lap time. They were so funny together.

I had to use this picture. Jocelyn was in such a silly mood. This is sooo...funny and so typical Jocelyn.

Jocelyn's friend Revan came over to play and they had fun. I got this little art project out for them and they couldn't have cared less about it. They just wanted to play with each other.

Jocelyn's dream came true! She met a real princess! We went to Mesa High School's production of Beauty and the Beast. She was a little tired and wanted to fall asleep but we kept her awake and she was happy because of it. She was really excited in the end.

Ezra is so funny about food. I think he is going to be a picky one. He always has the funniest faces when he eats. He always looks disgusted, but continues to eat whatever I feed him. I guess he doesn't like chicken and gravy.

But he is also my sweet and wonderful happy boy. He always laughs and smiles even if he is super tired. Here he is playing with Dad and loving it!
