Love is in the Air

So since it is so close to Valentine's Day I thought I could just think of all of the things I am in love with. Maybe it will inspire you to do the same. Here goes:

1. Jimmy, of course
2. Jocelyn, again, of course
3. Child number two
4. The restoration of the gospel
5. Good music
6. Curry
7. In no particular order: chocolate, ice cream and peanut butter

There are so many other things that I love, but those are the ones off the top of my head. This is a time to celebrate love! Happy Valentine's Day!

Christmas!

I just wanted to post this to let us remember what Christmas is all about. It isn't about us, the presents or even about Santa. This time is about Christ. We must remember Christ and his wonderful birth and what that means in our lives. I know that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world and because of Him, we can return to our Heavenly Father. He made it possible to repent because of His atonement. As President Clark says, "There is only one thing we can truly give: ourselves. When we give our heart, our will, our very soul to God completely and without reservation, we show Him the depth of our devotion to Him." I am challenging myself and others, if you would like, to pause on Christmas morning to remember the first Christmas morning and what Christ means in our lives.

The wonderful world of blogging

So it has been way too long since I last blogged. For one thing, Jocelyn wasn't even born. Emily was still in the United States. Fiori was tiny. Christian wasn't married...the list is too long. So here's the scoop. I am going to be blogging more often. For reals...maybe.

Story of the week: Crazy thing happened the other night. Jimmy and I were watching Modern Family when we heard a bunch of helicopters. Now that's not really weird since we live so close to the airport, but when we were still hearing the helicopter hovering over our apartment complex we decided to look out the window. There was a spotlight from the helicopter flashing over our parking lot and the nearby canal. There were cop cars everywhere. We could hear them saying something over a loud speaker, but it was indecipherable from our distance. We tried desperately looking on the internet to see what was happening. With no luck, we were left wondering. We just decided to lock the door and close the blinds. The next day we found out a woman was shot twice in the neighboring apartment complex. One in the chest and one in the leg. Apparently, two teenage boys were trying to steal her car, but she wouldn't give them the keys so they shot her! Then they ran away and one was hiding in the RV park right behind our complex and the other was swimming in the canal, again conveniently located behind our complex. We were less than a block away! What kind of neighborhood are we in?

The monster

There is one last person in my immediate family. The little creature inside me will bless our lives sometime in January-lets cross our fingers. We will find out whether it is a boy or a girl when it comes out.

Fiori

My first niece! She is officially a one year old and has a great personality. She will let you know when she does and doesn't like something. She loves to walk around and she loves when you play with her.

She loves her parents and blows kisses at her family when you say goodbye. She is too cute and it is going to be great when she has cousins to play with.

Adrienne

A is also a triathlete and a wonderful person. She is always sweet to those around her. She worked in real estate, but currently she is working hard being a great Mom. She loves animals.

A and Jace live in Orange County, California.

Jason

My brother Jace is an amazing person! He is a triathlete (swim, bike, run) and backpacker among other great outdoor adventure hobbies. He is rarely serious so if he says something that sounds a little fishy, most likely he is making it up. He and Adrienne have been married for three years.

Currently, he is starting Turner Security OC with Christian. They are both great salesman, so they are going to change the face of Turner Security and expand it!
